The Salvation Army of Jackson County -projects 150% need increase - “Rescue Christmas” - Campaign Promotes - “Virtual Red Kettle” - for November and December 2020 & Traditional Red Kettle Campaign -November 27 – December 24 – 2020.
The Salvation Army of Jackson County launches early - “Virtual Red Kettle” - Campaign November 1 – December 31 -at https://salarmy.us/jaxkettle -and will hold our traditional “Red Kettle Campaign” with the majority of our iconic - physical – Red Kettle Locations– to start the day after Thanksgiving, November 27 – December 24.
With the possibility of 50% fewer Salvation Army Red Kettles in Jackson County this year due to COVID-19 - and demand for our services increasing by up to 150% this Christmas –The Salvation Army of Jackson County is encouraging participation with our - “Virtual Red Kettle”- campaign.
“This year - as always - it is our goal to serve all who come to us with need. With the possibility that The Salvation Army of Jackson County will see an 150% increase in demand our ability to meet this need may be limited and we are calling on our community to meet this challenge with us” - said – Major Jose Tamayo – Corps Officer.
“Setting-up a Salvation Army of Jackson County on-line “Virtual Red Kettle” is a completely safe and secure way for the public to support their neighbors in this time of great need” -said -Brad Patterson – Development Director. “Virtual Red Kettles” - can be set up as an individual or an organizational team by visiting https://salarmy.us/jaxkettle - or at SAJackson.org . The Salvation Army of Jackson County has been in operation since 1885. Last year they served over 22,000 Jackson County residents with basic human service needs support.
