DESCRIPTION:Ribbon to be cut at 4:00 pm\n\n\n\nThe Jackson County Chamber of Commerce would like to congratulate South Central Credit Union on their beautiful remodel of their W. Monroe St Office. Changes can be see inside and outside of the facility. Please join us and SCCU for a ribbon cutting to celebrate this great achievement on Tuesday\, June 28th at 4pm\, 958 W. Monroe St\, Jackson.\n\nSouth Central Credit Union was organized as Tri-County State Employees Credit Union on June 16\, 1954. At that time it was housed in the accounting department of the prison. In 1986 the name was changed to South Central State Employees Credit Union\, when Tri-County merged with Spartan Federal Credit Union. Since that time we have once again changed our name to South Central Credit Union\, merged with Railroaders Credit Union and Jackson City County Credit Union.\n\nThe Credit Union was organized for the purpose of promoting thrift among its members and to create a source of credit for them at legitimate rates of interest for provident purposes. The biggest field of membership for the credit union is with employees of Southern Michigan Prison in Jackson County in addition to other state employees in the three county area that we serve.\n\nSCCU has two convenient branches in Jackson to serve all your financial needs. Once named South Central State Employees Credit Union (SCSECU)\, our name was changed when we expanded our membership base.\n\nThe Jackson County Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit association of businesses and non-profits\, committed to strengthening their businesses and the Jackson Community.
