Connection and Content to Build Your Community with Brad Wilson, Educational Technology Consultant with the Jackson County Intermediate School District. In a media landscape flooded with noise, what story does your social media presence tell? Building the community around your organization using online platforms can be a daunting task, but this session will tackle strategies for choosing social networks, designing original content, and engaging your audience. Presenter bio: Brad Wilson is a former 4th grade teacher turned Ed Tech Consultant & Speaker. He has the privilege of supporting educators in Jackson County with meaningful and innovative technology integration strategies. He is the recipient of the MACUL Educator of the Year award for 2014 and this spring was named to the 2015 class of Apple Distinguished Educators. Brad’s latest project is Write About, a digital writing platform for classrooms. He also enjoys working to empower teacher and student voices through the #MichED movement and has created iPad apps to inspire kids to write and capture stories.
