Women’s Week presented by Dawn Food Products is a weeklong celebration of the women in our community, highlighting some of the leaders that are trailblazing paths in industries such as motor sports, global enterprise, and law enforcement.
Today, we highlight women who choose careers in local government by hearing from City Council Member Shalanda Hunt (Ward 5). Hunt also works for the State of Michigan as a Child Welfare Trainer and is the Vice President of the Jackson Public Schools Board of Education. Log into the Chamber Facebook page to view the morning video, and don't forget to grab tickets to the panel discussion on 3/8 to hear from these leaders LIVE and in person!
Women's Week includes daily morning videos by top community leaders, a “Wall of Fame” to showcase women who deserve attention for the great work they do, and two live events to learn from female leaders in Jackson. You can learn more about the full week of events at jacksonchamber.org/womensweek.
Women in Policing is sponsored by City of Jackson and Dawn Food Products.
