Grow Jackson Administrative Assistant
Hybrid | Part-time (up to 20 hours/week)
$18–$20/hour, based on experience
Grow Jackson is seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy Administrative Assistant to support the Executive Director and help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. This is a part-time, hybrid position ideal for someone who enjoys juggling tasks, learning new systems, and contributing to meaningful, community-based work.
This role is a great fit for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growing organization and wants to play a behind-the-scenes role in advancing local food access and food system initiatives in Jackson.
Key Responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant will support the Executive Director with a mix of administrative, financial, and operational tasks, including:
- Managing email, calendar, phone, and scheduling
- Assisting with bookkeeping and basic financial management (QuickBooks or willingness to learn)
- Supporting invoicing, expense tracking, and financial organization
- Coordinating meetings via Zoom and supporting virtual and in-person logistics
- Assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks and internal coordination
- Helping keep systems, files, and workflows organized as the organization grows
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets)
- Comfort using Zoom and other virtual meeting tools
- Experience with QuickBooks, bookkeeping, or financial tracking or a strong willingness to learn
- Strong technology skills and comfort learning new tools
- Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
