The Marketing Internship provides the opportunity to support the Marketing and Community Partnership Teams in events, promotions, ongoing projects, and credit union initiatives as assigned.

The Marketing Internship is seasonal (spring/summer) and is anticipated to last up to 3 months. The internship may end sooner or be longer depending on the need.
Rate of pay: Starting pay is $15.78/hour. This is considered a temporary position and it does not offer benefits. Intern hours are 20-25 weekly with the max of 29 per pay period.
Essential Job Functions
- Focus on Purpose: Focused on credit union purpose of creating financial wellness in our community through everyday banking.
- Event Management Support: Supports and assists the Marketing and Community Partnership teams at credit union events and credit union sponsored events.
- Support Digital Marketing Initiatives: Assist in planning and executing online campaigns, including social media, email marketing, and website content updates, to enhance member engagement and brand visibility.
- Optimize Online Presence: Contribute to SEO and SEM efforts through keyword research, content optimization, and performance tracking; analyze digital metrics to recommend improvements for campaign effectiveness.
- Collaboration: Assists as needed on a variety of Marketing and Community Partnership teams with projects, and day-to-day operations..
- Community Advocate: Serves as a representative of the credit union within the community and is actively visible at credit union events and credit union sponsored events.
- Core Process, Policy, and Procedure Review: Responsible for following all processes, policies, and procedures, including policies and procedures for customer identification and all BSA requirements.

Requirements
- A minimum education of high school diploma or GED
- Enrollment as a Junior or Senior in an accredited academic program with coursework in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Advertising preferred.
The Ideal Candidate
- Basic understanding of digital marketing principles, including social media, email marketing, and website content strategies.
- Familiarity with SEO and SEM concepts (keyword research, on-page optimization, Google Ads basics).
- Experience or coursework in marketing analytics or ability to interpret data from tools like Google Analytics and social media insights.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Specially experience in marketing content creation.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or other creative content platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently or as a collaborative member of a team.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Time management and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
