Community Action Agency is a 501c3 non profit that operates in Jackson, Lenawee and Hillsdale counties. Founded in 1965 and established as a community action agency through the Office of Economic Opportunities War on Poverty, CAA provides a local approach to addressing the causes and conditions of poverty. Our mission to promote self sufficiency is accomplished through a broad array of programming ranging from early childhood education, housing for those experiencing homelessness and education for adults through programs like financial and homebuyer education programs.
