About Us

Seeking to put God's love into action, Jackson Interfaith Shelter provides temporary shelter and other essential resources to people experiencing homelessness or poverty. Our vision is that Jackson will be a community where everyone has access to decent, affordable housing, and where resources needed to prevent or resolve homelessness will be available to all.

We currently have 76 beds for men, women and children, and are undergoing construction for a Family Shelter which will just about double our capacity. There is no limit to how long someone can stay, as long as they are actively working toward their goals.

Community meals are served three times a day, 365 days a year, at 7:30 am, 12:00 pm, and 5:00 pm.

Looking to volunteer? We have opportunities ranging from meal service and kitchen help, to babysitting and front desk support, and more! We welcome individuals, families, and groups. Visit our website at interfaithshelter.com/volunteer to learn more about getting involved at Jackson Interfaith Shelter.

Looking to make a donation? We welcome all food (pantry staples, fresh or frozen meat, garden extras, prepared meals), hygiene products, and towels and twin size blankets. We do not accept clothing, but encourage you to take clothing to our partner organization, St. Vincent de Paul. Visit interfaithshelter.com/amazon to view our Amazon wishlist, or give us a call to inquire about a specific donation.
