Title VII influences every aspect of employment including job postings and recruitment efforts, hiring & firing, discipline, promotions and training. Under Title VII, if an employee claims discrimination, the employer must prove it has not violated the law. The court may remedy violations by ordering reinstatement, with or without back pay, and may grant any other equitable relief it feels is appropriate. This includes recruitment, hiring, promotion, discipline, discharge and training.
